5 mths had past since enlisted. been through b m t. went through few courses in diff unit. met many pple and they just come and go. well. time for my last 1yr 7mth at paya lebar alrbase.

After 15wks in an island nt far away from mainland.

Now stuck (3 more wks) in a place where many noisy "pumas" flying in the air.

Is like you are missing a lot of stuff during wkdays.

And trying to rest and party hard at the same time during the wkend.

Not long I'll be a security guard like those you saw at any condo.

It seems like i'm working half a year in a year.

But if suay suay I'll be watching many TVs during holiday.

Money Not Enough

my uncle from indonesia came over to singapore to buy things and have fun over the few days. then we had a chat and he was talking about, "what if you have alot of money (that couldn't finish), what would you buy?" and i replied "cant really stop buying."

is like i got a list of toys to buy and i had it all, but i dun hav the space to place them, i get bigger room, and when i got bigger room, i would buy bigger stuff. it's like never ending to it. so... ya... sry no conclusion to this. haha. just trying to get this out of mind by doing this.

and yes im a RP (army). bah.

Imagine you are walking to a MRT station then suddenly 200 pple just froze

or you're inside a train and you realise you're caught in a middle of a mirror image.

Guess what? is a group of pple from Improv Everywhere doing all this stuff. well, anyone can join. but the first thing that came to my mind was... ad campaign. but they are just doing it out of fun. If there is ever a singapore version, i don't think any singaporean will participate, ok, maybe a handful of them.

this site been down for a few weeks i guess, because of some domain issues, which i can only contact the company on wkends, well anyway they are quite efficient so no complaint.

well, seriously, i have been shopping on net often then i shop physically nowadays. firstly was buying toys online, then i somehow came to know this design by humans and bought alot at one shot... haha. PRO: various style from different artist, free shipping for US$70 and above, you can submit your work but need pple's vote to get it printed. CON: only the white tees cloth quality seems thinner than others, cant see it physically.

so... go vote mine now! haha

anyway, i almost finish my BMT life, which i got nothing left to do but the last parade rehearsal. done my 24km route march, throw a grenade, got marksman for my SAR21 shoot (28/32), participate Drill Squad comp (hopefully can win), dig my own "grave", went through muddy fieldcamp and what else?

Now I don't even care about where i'm gonna be posted to but looking fwd for the 12 days leave ahead. haha. too bad can't go oversea.

p.s. nokomai is looking for media designers who can work on web and flash.

... since I last update.

Did many many things for every book out. Every time I book out, without fail, on every sat I will go out. Then I realise that I'd spent very tiny weeny time with my family, especially my mum, who did alot of things for me, she's always worry and pray for me everyday, which I felt that and etc.

And so I did stay at home today to rest and of cos accompany my family.

Many things happened to me and people ard. My bro wanted to switch over to my line (interactive) from airline industry (He is the one who introduce me to web when i was 13). My sis-in-law went for audition in 1 of mediacorp show, dun really know the name (think is "dun forget the lyrics"??), and she was selected (lets see during nov). My dad bought a new photo printer. bah.

After the field camp and sitest at army, the route to becoming a officer just destroy then, i guess it just nt really my kind of thing I guess. But I do gain something from it, I learned to appreciate my home more and I feel im one step closer to nature (If only my job was a National Geographic crew or photographer) haha.

Bought John Mayer's "Where the Light is" album (pretty gd), bought a "few" toys, played metal slug on my DS, caught a few movies, celebrated fa's and ber's bday, banned myself from alcohol (maybe until I POP), read some books, and I haven done any illustration or flash since enlisted. *sigh*

Went for Colin Moock's talk on AS3 at Suntec. Saw Tan, Vivian and Jean from ITE, though they are now in TP cept Vivian. Andy n Siew from Nokomai. NYP lecturers and a few IM peeps. Worst of all Tryphena is there -.-

The whole talk, I just dun like the idea of bringing graphics into flash using script. Just so irritating.

Been doing some drawings/illustration at home. Just wanna do a few more before I really really going into NS.

Saw that little ripple behind the blog? That is flash running on the background.

Actually that was a sample from my 10% done "Browser Art", meaning using browser as an art medium, did that during my internship at nokomai, then later no time and soon it become "hidden folder". And I didn't bother it any more.

So check this out, which inspire me doing more of it. HERE (and I did it with notepad.)
